Best Intimate Wedding Venues In Santa Fe

Santa Fe is the beautiful and artsy capital of The Land of Enchantment, aka New Mexico. There are so many unique places to explore surrounding the plaza, filled with historic adobe style homes and buildings. There are many shops, museums, and trails around the city; you’ll never run out of things to do. Some of New Mexico’s Best Intimate Wedding Venues are in Santa Fe.

If you are looking for a unique place to host yourself, your guests and have your intimate wedding at, Santa Fe has many breathtaking options! One advantage to having an elopement or intimate wedding is that you have a lot more locations to choose from. Not every Inn or Lodge is going to be able to accommodate a large wedding. A small group or just a couple is easier to accommodate for a venue like these. Here are the Best Intimate Wedding Venues in Santa Fe.

Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts

Nested in the Santa Fe mountains, Bishop’s Lodge has a wide variety of accommodations for a couple eloping by themselves or with a small group of friends and family. They have different casitas, suites, and even a bunkhouse that can house a whole group of people. There are different levels to the property which makes it look so unique.

At one of the top hills of the property, you will find a small chapel with a lawn. This is a great spot for a ceremony, cocktail hour and even dinner. The chapel is very small. I would only consider that if you are eloping with no guests, or a very limited guest list. A level down from the chapel, they have an indoor dining location if the weather isn’t ideal for dinner outside. This area also features a courtyard with a fireplace and an area to mingle with your guests or cuddle up with your partner.

The Inn of the Five Graces

Being walking distance from the Santa Fe Plaza, The Inn of the Five Graces is a must see. Covered in mosaics and textiles throughout the walls, floors and ceilings, every inch of individual room is breathtaking. The thought and talent that went into decorating a place like this is like nothing you will ever see. It is a little different from what you typically see in New Mexico too. Complementary valet parking and driving you to restaurants nearby is above and beyond for accommodations.

The Five Graces has several different rooms for you to pick from. If you have guests they can either stay there, or somewhere down the street since it is walking distance of so much. This venue is perfect for a couple wanting to elope just the two of them. Or you could bring a small number of friends and family. You can also select a package that will include a bouquet, cake and champagne for you and your partner too!

Stay Kit Fox

If you are up for something a little more outdoorsy, Stay Kit Fox is perfect for you! This outdoor experience is one that you and your guests will never forget. This venue features one larger tent for the couple, and a handful of smaller glamping tents for any guests. The staff at Kit Fox is so kind and will take care of you throughout your private stay on their property. They also have a catering and bartending company, Dig and Serve, that is excellent.

There is a beautiful location just past all the tents that is perfect for a ceremony in the desert. Then you can head on up to the dining and game area where you will find tons of entertainment to make an unforgettable wedding night. Roast marshmallows by the fire, play cornhole with your friends, or dance the night away in the Dark Santa Fe desert. The view of the stars at the end of the night will be something that you’ll never forget.

Hacienda Dona Andrea de Santa Fe

The Hacienda Dona Andrea de Santa Fe is one of the most remarkable buildings I have ever seen. When you walk in the front you will be on the second story with high ceilings, plants hanging everywhere. Admire the mosaics all around looking off of the balcony that leads you to the first story and iconic courtyard. Moving out to the bottom floor courtyard, there is a stunning view of the mountains all around. You truly feel like you are in the middle of nowhere here.

This venue is one that you will need to rent as a whole versus just a room or rooms. They also have a 3 night minimum for an renting out an event. There are 9 bedrooms, including one honeymoon suite, along with a commercial kitchen. This is a perfect place for a couple having an intimate wedding to accommodate you and all of your guests. It is a little bit out of the city limits, so I do suggest bringing food and drink with you when you arrive.

El Rey Court

A renovated motel for your wedding venue? I think so! El Rey Court has the cutest rooms and space for a intimate wedding or elopement. They have a food truck and bar on sight, as well as different sized suites and casitas for you and your guests to stay. There are several locations around the property to accommodate your ceremony, portraits and dinner. If you are looking for something cute but not over the top, El Rey might just be perfect for your day.

They also allow photo shoots if you are thinking this might be your vibe for your engagement session. You need to be sure to reach out to them about their current permit fees for photo shoots! One final fun fact about El Rey is that they offer passes to their Swim Club! Do you ever wish you knew someone with a pool? Well now you do, though the limit the amount of passes they give out every season. So, if you are a local, I would jump on that before it gets too hot!
